The track sets the table for a musical banquet that pairs her ethereal vocals with Teezo Touchdown’s lyrical prowess.
Korean-American artist Audrey Nuna drops her first track of 2024, ‘Starving,’ featuring the multi-hyphenate sensation Teezo Touchdown. The dynamic duo brings Audrey’s breezy vocals and Teezo’s clever bars together against a backdrop of sleek production. Featuring South Korean R&B visionary So!YoON! on guitar and multi-platinum pop sensation Lauv the track begins a new chapter for Audrey Nuna.
Directed by Audrey’s close collaborator Khufu Najee, the official music video for ‘Starving’ is a visual feast, capturing Audrey’s metamorphosis from a liquid breakfast era to her eagerly awaited new chapter. The video takes the audience through a Tokyo-esque landscape, showcasing two versions of Audrey—the past and the present—as they break bread in the form of bejeweled delicacies, ultimately finding harmony in their differences. “The idea of starving is so universal. We all starve for something… food, attention, connection. The world is lacking a lot of love right now,” says Audrey about the new single. She expresses her gratitude for Teezo’s contribution, stating, “It feels like such a departure from both of our sounds, but I think we’re both the type of people who don’t care for being put into boxes when it comes to sonics—or anything, really.”
Teezo adds his own flair, commenting, “‘Oh, now ima dog? Ur a vet.’ is probably my favorite line so far.”
‘Starving’ is out now.
