The young woman has broken the internet after revealing her dad was an 80s icon, but some fans have had enough of this famous family.

If you think the surname sounds family, you’d be right as Lyric’s dad is singing sensation Glenn Medeiros.
At the tender age of sixteen, the Hawaii native became an overnight hit thanks to his cover of ‘Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You’.
Despite still being in his teens, the crooner would top charts in the US, UK and Canadian in the summer of 1988.
If that weren’t impressive enough, the singing sensation would have music featured in the nostalgic kids’ classic The Karate Kid Part III as well as record duets with several A-list artists.
Fame is a fickle business sadly and after selling 7 million record, Glenn would eventually fade from the spotlight.
Retraining as a teacher and becoming a school principal in Honolulu, the 80s icon had largely put his music career behind him.
However, his 22-year-old daughter Lyric has dragged the former popstar out of retirement with the pair regularly making videos together on Tiktok.
Though the pair have bonded over their love of music, it seems that some fans haven’t been so impressed with Tiktok star’s attempt to recapture the past.
An aspiring actress and singer, Lyric has dedicated her entire social media page to her popstar dad.
If that weren’t intense enough, she even asked fans whether she should leave law school behind to pursue her dreams of fame and fortune.
Some have even accused her of ‘riding’ her father’s ‘coattails’ with trolls beginning to target the family.
On a recent viral video, one cruel commenter wrote: “Oh dear, this is totally dreary now. Also, are you talking about your brother or your dad’s twin? Or do you even know!”
Another added: “Tell me something Tiktok would you want this a you attorney to defend you in court? She’s toooo obsessed with her daddy!”
Despite the backlash, it hasn’t stopped the young law student from regularly asking her dad to appear in her videos.
Poking fun at the trolls, the 22-year-old of herself wiggling on camera as she walked around the family home, with the cheeky caption: “Me on my way to be my 80s teenage heartthrob dad to make a Tiktok with me.”
In another viral video, she asked her brother, Chord, to film a clip with her, writing: “Me on my way to beg my brother, whose my 80s popstar dad’s twin, to make a Tiktok with me.”
Even with the backlash, it seems nothing is going to change this influencer from posting videos with her famous family.
Recalling her first viral video, Lyric even thanked her and her dad’s fans for their support over recent months.
She wrote: “When I first started Tik Tok my dad was amazed at how many of you remembered his songs from the 80s! We’re forever grateful for everyone of you!”
Whilst her videos might have struck a chord with viewers, it seems that not everyone is so thrilled by this family affair.
At least, they can make sweet music together.
