The Doobie Brothers are “takin’ it to the streets” once again.
From June through August, the 2020 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees will tour all over North America as part of their ‘The 2024 Tour’ with Steve Winwood and Robert Cray on select dates.
That includes concerts at Camden, NJ’s Freedom Mortgage Pavilion, Holmdel, NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center, New York City’s Madison Square Garden and Saratoga Springs’ Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
“We’ll be playing all the iconic songs that we know you want to hear, as well a few new tunes, and deep cuts that will make this a show to remember,” guitarist Pat Simmons told USA Today. “We…can hardly wait to rock out Doobie style!”
And if you’re itching to rock out “Doobie style” with them this year, you can grab tickets to see the “Jesus Is Just Alright With Me” FM radio Gods live as soon as today.
Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, Jan. 26, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Doobie Brothers band members
The San Jose-based band today consists of lead singer Michael McDonald and guitarists Tom Johnston, Pat Simmons and John McFee.
That’s not the whole band, though.
These days, the core quartet are joined by touring musicians John Cowan (bass, vocals), Marc Russo (saxophones), Ed Toth (drums), and Marc Quiñones (percussion).
Doobie Brothers new music
In 2023, Michael McDonald and co. collaborated with Mick Fleetwood and Jake Shimabukuro on the single “Lahaina,” a contemplative ode to the Hawaiian island.
Before that, the band delivered the rockin’ 12-track “Liberté” in October 2021.
For our money, the pulsing “Cannonball” is the standout song here; it doesn’t quite fit in with the Doobies’ greatest hits of yesteryear but introduces a new modern folk sound more in line with The Lumineers and Mumford and Sons.
The soaring “Shine Your Light” and throwbacks “Easy” and “Just Can’t Do This Alone” will surely have audiences waving their lighters high in the air at live shows, too.
Finally, “Amen Old Friend,” the album’s last song, likely won’t leave a single eye dry at concerts.
