A WOMAN out for a dinner date was left mortified after being caught making jokes about a famous celeb who was sitting right behind her.
Issy Oakley revealed the mortifying celebrity encounter on the Saving Grace podcast.
In the clip, Grace asked Issy, a social media influencer, to discuss her embarrassing encounter with former-Little Mix singer, Jesy Nelson.
The young woman recalled that she was on a date in Nando’s where the pair discussed some of their favourite celebrity memes.
Issy explained that she found the meme of Jesy Nelson performing at Jingle Bell Ball in 2021 was one of her favourite memes going viral at the moment.
She added: “We sit down, we start eating, he asks me about some of the latest memes – one of them being the Jesy Nelson Jingle Bell Ball opening situation.
“He was like ‘Do you not think she’s a bit commercialised?’
“No, I haven’t got a f***ing clue, I’ve got like four or five GCSE’s.”
Issy who didn’t want to get involved in that side of the debate, began to show off her dance moves -copying Jesy from her viral performance.
She explains there were three people sat on the table ext to them surrounded by shopping bags but Issy didn’t think anything of it – until one of them interrupted her date.
“He’s talking about her being too commercialised or something, I hear ‘Why are you talking about me?’,” she continued.
“When my heart fell out of my a***hole, it fell out of my a***hole.
“It thudded on the floor, rolled to the toilet and left my body that day.
“I turn myself… and I go ‘Oh my days’ my eyes fill with tears, I’m really to bawl, and just pull what I do with my dad when I do something wrong and cry.
“I go I’m so sorry… it was Jesy Nelson.”
Issy and her date left the restaurant without finishing their meals, mortified by what just happened.
The clip soon went viral on YouTube and social media and plenty of people were left horrified by the story.
One person wrote: “People need to learn to take a joke everyone was talking about it lol.”
Another commented: “This will always make me crease.”
“Why are you talking about me” babe you’re a CELEBRITY,” penned a third.
Someone else added: “No way.”
