Is Mr. Beast’s grocery store real?

On X, formerly Twitter, MrBeast revealed that he had acquired a grocery store and would fork out $10,000 every day for one volunteer to live there.

The YouTube juggernaut subsequently teamed up with Safeway, the leading banner operated by Albertsons Companies.

Realtor Alex Esteban, from Nashville, Tennessee, hosts the Winners Official podcast and stepped forward to take on the daunting challenge.

“Safeway has a longstanding history of giving back to the community, so when we learned of this incredibly fun and unique opportunity to partner with MrBeast and help our neighbors in need, we were thrilled,” said Jennifer Saenz, EVP and Chief Merchandising Officer at Albertsons Cos.

“Our collaboration with MrBeast furthers our mission to break the cycle of hunger as part of our Recipe for Change environmental, social and governance framework.

“We’re also introducing MrBeast’s fanbase to the extensive assortment of popular products they can find in their local Safeway store, including Feastables candy and cookies.”

How long did Mr. Beast’s Survive in a Grocery Store challenge last?

Alex made it 45 days, raking in an eye-popping $450,00 in winnings.

The content creator tried to make it to 50, but following a string of power cuts, his inflatable pool bursting and general boredom, Alex decided to cut his losses and head home to his wife and two children.

The viral content creator is known for shelling out massive amounts of money for his videos, but he admitted that this time he may have gone too far.

On X, MrBeast told his fans that he feared he may have offered too much money for his most recent challenge.

“I messed up.. I bought a random grocery store and told a random person I’d give him $10,000 everyday he lives in it and it’s been weeks and he shows no signs of ever leaving. I’m gonna go broke,” he posted.

What charities did Mr. Beast donate to?

It is currently unknown which charities MrBeast donated to as part of his most recent stunt.

The leading content creator has become well-known for his philanthropic efforts.

In 2020, the influencer launched his own charity, Beast Philanthropy.

He joined forces with NASA engineer Mark Rober to raise money for millions of trees to be planted, known as Team Trees.

However, his selfless stunts have courted controversy.

The famous philanthropist recently uploaded a video detailing his projects in Cameroon, KenyaSomaliaUganda, and Zimbabwe — only to receive some surprising pushback.

“Already know I’m gonna get canceled because I uploaded a video helping people, and to be 100% clear, I don’t care. I’m always going to use my channel to help people and try to inspire my audience to do the same,” he wrote on X.

Kenyan politician Francis Gaitho directly criticized MrBeast’s actions, claiming they perpetuate stereotypes.

He said the video makes the country look like it is, “dependent on handouts…and philanthropic intervention.”

Other individuals pointed out the video as potential proof of white saviorism.

“Overnight, this person comes along, who happens to be a white male figure with a huge platform, and all of a sudden, he gets all of the attention. It’s kind of frustrating, but it’s also understanding the nature of how the world is,” said Saran Kaba Jones, founder and CEO of FACE Africa.
