Azalea appeared to criticize Carti on Thursday night, suggesting he’s been an absentee father to their three-year-old son, Onyx.
The moment presented itself through a fan compilation on social media that depicted Carti spending time with their child at various locations, including an amusement park, a playground, and the beach.
At one point in the nearly three-minute video, the toddler’s father is seen holding up a phone to record his son making a Christmas-themed presentation with other kids. In another scene, which wrapped up the solemn clip, the father-son duo is spotted running down an empty road before Carti picks his baby boy in his arms
While the footage was touching enough to earn over 5k likes from viewers, Azalea seemed unimpressed. “It’s cool how you can fit damn near every visit into just one video 🤍 Talented!” she commented under the post, delivering the mic-drop moment.

The “Black Widow” hitmaker’s notifications immediately began going off as over a million people saw her reply, and thousands of them opted to respond on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
Meanwhile, some critics took offense at the update and labeled Azalea “such a hater” for not letting them enjoy the father and son moments as captured in the video.
Another time the Billboard Music Awards recipient spoke about her relationship with Carti was earlier this year when she joined Emily Ratajkowski on her podcast “High Low with EmRata.” During the February 2023 appearance, the 33-year-old disclosed:
“I dated a little bit last year, and it was fun. I’ve been single since early 2020. Right after I had my son, I left his father. Something happened one day with my son’s father and me, and it was just one of those moments where I didn’t wake up thinking this would be what my day would be.”
She continued saying, “But by the end of the day, I was on my way to Los Angeles, and I never went back, and that was the end of it.”

Onyx is well aware of his importance to his mother, who has been his sole caregiver since his birth three years ago. As Mother’s Day approached in May, he decided that the perfect gift for Azalea was a heartfelt drawing.
The thoughtful boy folded a piece of white paper in half, filling it with “Happy Mother’s Day” and two butterfly drawings on the front. When the “Fancy” rapper opened the do-it-yourself [DIY] card, she discovered an adorable illustration of four penguins.
Two penguins engaged in playful activities while the others strummed guitars, accompanied by three colorful round objects— all captured in the charming drawing. The Blast observed that the bottom contained a sweet inscription, which read, “Love Onyx.”
Azalea later shared a glimpse of the card on her Story, preceded by a monochrome photo of her son joyfully perched on her shoulder on her Instagram page. The three-year-old’s laughter and curly locks shone through. The American Music Awards winner added a simple “Happy Mother’s Day” with a white heart emoji.
Unsurprisingly, fans filled the comment section of the now-deleted post, echoing her sentiment. “The best mother! our Gemini season is coming,” one fan commented, as a second called the Grand Hustle signee a “total beauty,” and a third asserted, “This smile makes numerous people happy.”
