Toro y Moi and Eric André have announced Goes By So Fast, a new short film that serves as a companion piece to the new Toro y Moi album Mahal. Directed by Harry Israelson, it’s a combination fiction, documentary, animated, and concert film. The film will premiere April 22 at Brain Dead Studios in Los Angeles, where Chaz Bear will DJ. Mahal is out April 29 via Dead Oceans. It features Unknown Mortal Orchestra, the Mattson 2, Salami Rose Joe Louis, and Sofie, plus “The Loop.”
Toro y Moi will perform at this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival, which takes place from July 15-17 at Chicago’s Union Park. Tickets are available now.
