Joy (Anonymous) has shared its latest single, “Joy (In Me All The Time),” weeks ahead of the release of its upcoming album, Cult Classics.
The brass-inflected new track is one of the duo’s most ecstatic songs to date and one of the brightest moments of the forthcoming album. A rambunctious track that pairs a wobbling brass bassline with a giddy, lopsided house beat, it builds to a hypnotic climax.
“Joy (In Me All The Time)” has been a staple of Joy (Anonymous)’s live shows this year, including a standout moment earlier in the year when Joy brought out a marching band to perform the track with them at their sold-out show at EartH in London.
“‘In Me All The Time’ was started by Hugh aka Brother Counsell with these bombastic drums and an other worldly horn line,” Henry Counsell explained in a press release. “The lyric came from the idea that feelings are in us all the time and even though they can be scary the feeling of them all is where Joy lies.”

The track follows the previous singles “Joy (I Did You Wrong),” “Joy (404),” and “Joy (Head To The Sky).” All will appear on Cult Classics, which is set to be released on November 3 via Astralwerks, and have featured in live performances across the world, from Las Vegas’ Life Is Beautiful to supporting Fred again.. in London.
Next week (October 27), the duo will kick off its latest run of live dates in the UK, serving as support for The Streets. Following that tour, it will head to Australia and New Zealand in November before wrapping up the year with a North American headline tour.
