Pop-punk-emo icons Jimmy Eat World are embarking on their 29-city ‘The Amplified Echoes Tour’ with special guests Manchester Orchestra from July through the end of September.
That includes gigs at New York City’s Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage on Wednesday, Aug. 23 and Buffalo’s Buffalo Outer Harbor on Friday, Aug. 25.
At all concerts, expect Jim Adkins and co. to belt out hits from their classic records like 2001’s “Bleed American,” as well as select tracks from their recent releases.

Jimmy Eat World is not the only act taking the stage on their tour. At every gig, they will be joined by fellow rockers Manchester Orchestra.
Manchester Orchestra is an indie rock band that hails from Atlanta, Georgia. The group, which formed in 2004, is led by lead singer Andy Hull, along with lead guitarist Robert McDowell, bassist Andy Prince and drummer Tim Verry. Some of their most popular songs include “The Gold,” “The Silence” and “The Way.”
About Jimmy Eat World
Jimmy Eat World first started playing together in 1993. Their name is based on a painting by Tom Linton’s younger brother, Ed. Young Ed drew a picture of his brother Jim with a globe in his mouth with the caption “Jimmy eat world” to insult him—the rest is history.
The Mesa, AZ natives rose to fame with their hit song, “The Middle,” from their fourth album, Bleed American. The song ranked in the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 all-genre chart in 2001 and led the emo pioneers to make several MTV appearances over the years.
Their most recent album, “Surviving,” was released in 2019. It features 10 tracks, including “Congratulations,” “Love Never,” “Criminal Energy” and title track “Surviving.”
