The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott) is dealing with some Twitter drama thanks to a hacker. The Y&R Insider account recently made an announcement to warn fans about the deception, so let’s talk about what happened.
After someone hacked Davidson’s Twitter account, they started tweeting out offers for electronics and trying to make sales to her followers.
This person claimed all proceeds would go to charity and tried to convince people to make purchases via direct messages.
Of course, it didn’t take long for most fans to realize it was a scam. As we mentioned, the Y&R Insider account eventually sent out a tweet to clear things up and let everyone know what was going on.
“PSA! Eileen Davidson’s Twitter has been hacked. We are working to resolve issue. In the meantime, the account is NOT her own and she is not moonlighting selling Electronics!!” the announcement confirmed.
Eileen Davidson’s account was locked, so hopefully she’ll gain control again soon and will be able to share a message of her own with fans.
It’s always frustrating when soap stars are targeted like this, but at least most people weren’t buying the fake-out.
Camryn Grimes (Mariah Copeland) even chimed in with a funny tweet once she heard the news, so let’s look at how she injected some humor into the situation.
“Dangit I was really looking forward to that customized Apple Watch,” Grimes joked.
The hacker only managed to send out a couple sales pitches before they were shut down, so let’s hope that’ll be the end of it!
