To meet the unprecedented demand for U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at the Sphere in Las Vegas, Sphere Entertainment and Live Nation have announced eight additional dates for the first-of-its-kind live music experience.
U2’s first live shows in four years and the first to utilize the state-of-the-art venue, U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at the Sphere now totals 25 shows spanning September 29 through December 16.
The following dates have been announced:
September
October
November
December
Tickets start at $140 and reflect all-in pricing, meaning the ticket price listed is the total out-of-pocket price, including taxes and fees. The unique venue’s larger capacity allows 60 percent of tickets to be priced under $300, with a limited number of premium-priced tickets per show.
All U2.com paid subscribers are eligible to submit a ticket request for the eight newly-added shows (December 1-16), even if they have requested or secured tickets for previously announced dates. The on-sale is open until Monday, May 15, at 7 AM ET.
A limited number of previously waitlisted fans will have first access to the newly announced December dates. Applicable fans will be contacted directly by Ticketmaster with details on the evening of Wednesday, May 17. Additionally, a limited number of tickets will be available during a general on-sale beginning Friday, May 19 at noon ET at Ticketmaster.com. Sale times may vary.
In an effort to mitigate resale and keep ticket prices at face value for fans, GA floor tickets for U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at the Sphere will be restricted from transfer and may only be resold at the original purchase price. The added dates will help Madison Square Garden begin its recoupment of construction costs for the Sphere, which have crossed $2.3 billion in the most recent SEC filings. That means the Sphere is the most expensive live entertainment venue in the state of Nevada.
