“Frank Ocean is not scheduled to appear on the Coachella livestream,” YouTube announced.
Fans were also upset that signs read “NO FRANK OCEAN MERCHANDISE” were posted across the merch tents.
“Everybody is talking like, ‘It’s been so long, it’s been so long,’ but I have missed you,” he said during the performance. He has been well known for his albums, Blonde and Channel Orange.
Frank also shared he missed his younger brother, Ryan Breaux, who died in a car crash in 2020. “I know he would have been so excited to be here with all of us,” he said, per the NY Times.
Unfortunately, his performance ended earlier than anticipated. “Guys, I’m being told it’s curfew, so that’s the end of the show. Thank you so much,” he abruptly said.
Bad Bunny, Calvin Harris, and Blackpink also headlined the festival across the three different nights.
