DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist LP Giobbi has announced a series of post-Dead and Company appearances that will coincide with the band’s final tour. Giobbi will stop in New Orleans, Chicago, Philly, New York City, Boston, Boulder and San Francisco this summer.
The performances will see the Eugene, Ore.-native’s combination of the Grateful Dead and electronic music. The project came after she was encouraged by Bob Weir’s manager encouraged efforts for a livestream in benefit of Backline, and it evolved into a Dead House DJ Set at Dead & Company’s destination event Playing In The Sand.
Giobbi will continue to deliver her memorable sets when she arrivals in New Orleans for a previously mentioned After Party at The Howlin’ Wolf, which will occur after Dead and Company’s slot at Jazz Fest. From there, she’ll take time away from the road before popping back up in June and delivering memorable After Party frames.
The musician’s shows at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl, Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia and New Orleans are presented by Relix.
All shows are on sale today at 10 a.m. local time, and a portion of proceeds from all shows will benefit Femme House and MusiCares.
