Adam Sandler showed his support for longtime friend and colleague Chris Rock following the incident that occurred at the Oscars this past weekend.
Sandler, who starred alongside Rock in a series of films, including Grown-Ups, You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, and The Longest Yard, shared a poster for Rock’s upcoming comedy tour alongside a loving caption.
“Can’t wait for this. Love you buddy!” Sandler wrote.
In the days since Will Smith slapped Rock on live television, dozens of celebrities have chimed in on the ordeal, including Drake, 50 Cent, and more.
Meanwhile, Rock’s upcoming comedy tour with Kevin Hart saw an immediate spike in ticket sales on the secondary market following the Oscars incident. TickPick, a ticket selling website, noted that more tickets were sold for Rock and Hart’s tour on Monday than for the entire past month combined.
The site added that the price for the tickets on the secondary market jumped over 200 percent, from $46 per ticket on March 18 to a minimum of $341 now.
The Ego Death World Tour will be Rock’s first comedy tour in five years. Leading up to it he’s scheduled to perform at Boston’s Wilbur Theater from March 30 through April 1.
