Steve Earle and City Winery have delivered details regarding the 8th annual John Henry’s Friends benefit concert, slated to take place on May 15 at Town Hall in New York. The folks behind the event delivered the impending artist lineup and shared the meaning behind the upcoming charitable occasion. 

This year’s lineup is scheduled to include notable performances and storytelling courtesy of the event’s host, Earle. In addition, John Henry’s Friends will also boast appearances by prominent artists such as David Byrne, Kurt Vile and Terry Allen.

Proceeds from the John Henry’s Friends 2023 benefit will support educational programming at The Keswell School, which serves children and young adults on the autism spectrum. Moreover, the event is named after Earle’s son, John Henry, who attends The Keswell School.

For the past seven years, Earle has made it a tradition to bring together some of the most legendary names in music in order to support his charitable endeavors, with past guests including Lucinda Williams, Wile Nile, Josh Ritter and Rosanne Cash. 

VIP packages are available now on the Town Hall website. General public on-sale will begin on Friday, March 3 at noon E.T.
